National Seminar on Integration and Innovation in English Education, Linguistics, and Literature 2017
The Department of English Teaching, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) has committed to ensure the quality of English Teaching and Learning in its surroundings. Through its expertise in the area of English language, namely English Teaching, Linguistics and Literature, it provides the students a valuable means to realize their future so that they are worth contributing to local and global communities. The department is encouraged to adjust to the change of contexts over time for the sake of serving the students.
In an attempt to provide learning quality, it is necessary for the department and the students to keep up-to-date with recent development in ELT, research and publication. They are challenged to share their experience based on their pedagogical knowledge, to disseminate their informed practices, and to examine contemporary concepts of English language learning and teaching leading to an awareness of building a language learning that can win globalizing world encounters.
By having this consideration, Department of English Teaching, UNIPMA held its “National Seminar on Integration and Innovation in English Education, Linguistics, and Literature 2017.” It was held with a major theme “Embracing Culture and Innovation to ensure Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education and to Win Globalizing World Encounters.”
This event was held on Saturday, November 18, 2017, started from 07.00 a.m. in Graha Cendekia UNIPMA, Jl. Auri no 14 Madiun. There were three keynote speakers invited here. They were Prof. Drs. Bambang Yudi Cahyono, M.Pd., M.A., Ph.D from Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), Diah A. Arimbi. S.S, M.A, Ph.D from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta, and Dr. Dwi Setyadi, M.M from UNIPMA. Each of them presented a paper from different field namely teaching, literature, and linguistics. This seminar also opened for several chosen papers to be published on English Language Teaching Journal. As well, all the accepted papers will be published in proceeding.
